Ingredients:
- 4 lb. Light DME
- 1 lb. Victory Malt
- 0.25 lb. Roasted Barley
- 1 lb. Belgian Candy Sugar
Hops:
- 1 oz. Liberty (Bittering)
- 1 oz. Saaz (Finishing)
Yeast:
- White Labs Belgian Golden (WLP570)
Method:
- Heat 2 gal. water to 150°F
- Steep grains for 30 minutes, maintaining temperature.
- Remove grain bag and add malt extract and sugar. Stir until dissolved.
- Bring mixture to a boil.
- Add Liberty Hops.
- Boil for 60 minutes.
- Add Saaz hops after 45 minutes of boiling.
- Cool the wort, and strain into fermenter.
- Top off with water to 5 gallons.
- Pitch yeast.
Allow one to two weeks for fermentation, and two additional weeks after bottling for conditioning.
