I ran around inside the webserver a bit today, updating a few things, fixing a few things. I noticed that after the switch to the new server, the Accipiter.org weather center was not functioning properly. Then I realized I forgot to save my cron jobs before moving the server. I updated crontab this morning to once again poll NOAA for the weather data every hour.

When I pulled the weather data this morning, I noticed a bug in the weather center. When I looked at the front page, it listed winds as "30 MPH CALM." Since 30 MPH winds certainly aren't calm, I looked into the problem. It turns out the winds were simply listed as "CALM", and "PRES" (barometric pressure, being my guess) was listed at around 30.

For the time being, the problem is fixed to simply say "CALM" under "winds" when there are no winds, however I'll probably modify it to simply say "0 MPH" or something similar.

I also modified the photo browser a bit, adding a few tweaks and optimizations here and there. Nothing major. I'm considering releasing the photo browser as open source software licensed under the GPL, but I haven't decided yet.
