So "a while" for me typically means "I'll work on it like a madman until it's working", so Accipiter.org now has a commment system. Direct-linking to the comments page is pointless, as it'll just redirect you to the main index, however you can click the "x Comments" link at the bottom of every weblog entry, and it'll bring you to the appropriate section.
The comment system was fun to write, but what a huge pain in the ass. I ended up writing the first version of the script (which didn't work right), sleeping, deleting it when I woke up, and rewrote it from scratch. Sometimes that's what you need to do, I guess.

Update: I told James about a dream I had last night, and forgot about it. It just came back to mind.
I was in a special forces group of some sort. I had a fully automatic weapon with a night-scope on it, and killed one or two people with it. After I ran out of ammo, I had to go get more. Instead of giving me a new clip, they gave me a new gun - one without the scope. I complained, but found out I really wasn't supposed to have the one with the scope anyway.
A little later, I found a rabbit, but let it go. Two of the (rather attractive) female team members were the other two thirds of my unit (with me being the third), and they didn't like it that I let the rabbit go, because it might not be able to survive in the wild. I thought of what would happen to the rabbit if it rained, and sure enough, an alien spaceship appeared overhead right on cue, with a big digital display on the side that said "HUMIDITY EFFECT". It started spraying flames into the sky far into the distance, and then it started raining.
Afterward, the ground was covered in ice, and it was just me and one of the girls from my unit. Something happened, and we were separated. She was bruised, but all right. The second woman came back, and she had a broken arm. I asked if she would mind if I tore the sleeve off her sweater to treat the arm, but she preferred leaving the sweater intact, so I helped her take it off.
Then I woke up. Before the alarm even sounded, too.
