It had been quite an eventful week so far. Yesterday I went down to Leonardo, NJ. and checked off one of my goals for the trip when I visited the Quick Stop and RST video made famous in the movie Clerks. The exteriors of both stores looked pretty much the same as they did in the movie, and the interior of the Quick Stop, while sligtly more cluttered, also looked the same. I couldn't get into RST video as the door was locked. Somehow, I wasn't surprised.

Today I made it up to Manhattan, and walked around quite a bit. On the train into the city, I met the best single-serving friend ever. I never got her name, but we started chatting when I got off the phone to try and organize my day, and we talked well into Penn Station, where she also was kind enough to show me how to get to the E train uptown whereas she was heading downtown. She was damned cute too.

I started off the day by visiting my brother James downtown, checked out the building where he worked, then headed over near the Empire State Building. I didn't bother to go in or up, since it was snowing like mad and visibility was extremely limited. I then rode the subway for awhile and checked out the various stations before ending up in Times Square where I checked out Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum. The wax figures there are incredible. Then I ended up at Grand Central Station, then Madison Square Garden, then Penn Station where I headed back down to Jersey. I didn't get to accomplish any of my stated Manhattan goals today, so I plan to make another trip.

I've accumulated a good amount of pictures so far, and more are bound to be taken. They will be forthcoming when A) I get access to high- speed internet, or B) I get home; whichever comes first.
