Well, it's finally happened officially. Regarding the "interesting things coming down the pipe" at work, I can finally say officially that I've been promoted. I've been inserted into... wait for it... a management position. Welcome to middle-management! Anyway, I'll be getting another raise as of the 15th to coincide with this step-up in position, so that'll be more money in A) my pocket, and B) my 401k. Hooray.
In other news, my car is very close to being paid off. (The aforementioned raise should also speed up this endeavor.) I've been saying that once I'm back out of debt - which at this point consists entirely of my car - I'm going to put myself back in by taking a trip. I'm guessing around October of this year I'll be heading off to Japan for 10 days or so. Considering I've never left the continental United States (and have never been anywhere west of Louisiana), this should definitely be interesting.
