I got a sharp dose of nostalgia earlier this week thanks to Scott. It seems the dead and buried Quantum Link system (which I briefly mentioned here) has gotten a revival of sorts. Some clever folks have reverse engineered Q-Link's protocols and software, allowing them to rebuild the network.
It's still not perfect, but the system is online and functional. I'm using the Vice emulator under Linux along with netcat to send the data to the Q-Link Reloaded servers, and it works great. I've been in and out of People Connection for the past few days talking to a few folks, and playing with the various messaging functions. Traffic is light, but that's to be expected.
If you're an old-school Q-Linker, you should check it out!

Update: Every time I hear this song I reaffirm the fact that, if I ever get married, I absolutely want it to be the recessional at my wedding.
Preferably performed in-person by Rockapella. (They'd be a HIT at the reception.)
