And we're back. In more ways than one.

So you may have noticed that my website has been down for a long time. This, you see, is because I went on vacation. Not directly, mind you, but invariably any time I go on vacation something happens which causes my site to go down while I am out of town and is not possible to fix until I return. In this case, two days before leaving my ISP seemingly imploded. You couldn't get to their websites, you couldn't call them on the phone, and you couldn't visit their offices. It looked like they'd shut down entirely.

As a result, I was left with no choice to attempt a last-minute changeover to a new ISP, working to reconfigure my entire network in advance prior to the circuit being activated so that when the connection was lit up, my sites would come back online immediately. Unfortunately, this did not happen as I had some netmasks incorrect and a busted route.

Things are up and running again, though DNS has not fully propagated as of yet so access to the site is going to be spotty for the next day or two. But since you're here (and reading this) you're free to have a look at the photos from my trip to Germany.

Update: Thanks to me using two cameras, I've just discovered the images in the gallery are going to display out of order. I'll fix this when I have more time.
