I told you I was busy.
This might be a record amount of time I've gone without posting an update here. Sure has been a while, and I'm amazed I've gone as long as I have.
On a whim, I decided to go on a trip this weekend with Theresa and her sister Amanda. Theresa had suggested Jekyll Island, and me never having been there, it seemed like a good idea. So we packed up the car and drove, stopping in Milledgeville on the way to check out a hospital I'd long known about, but never actually seen. From there we continued southeast and hit St. Simons Island, followed by Jekyll Island. We climbed a lighthouse, did some shopping, saw the beach, checked out an old British fort, and had a pretty awesome time just exploring the area.
Of course it wouldn't be a trip without pictures, and ever since losing my Canon PowerShot S3 IS in Dublin, I've been itching to get a new camera and start taking photos again. Last month I purchased its replacement (a Canon PowerShot SX10 IS), and was sure to take plenty of pictures during the trip.
In other news, I'm taking Theresa to New York City next month. She's never been there before and has always wanted to go, so who better to take her? As for my yearly April vacation, that's coming up rather quickly as well. This year's destination is Egypt, and I'm having almost as hard a time figuring the logistics as I did with the trip to Germany. I'm sure it'll come together, and it'll be a nice addition to the places I've been.
