Before going to the apartment office to pay my rent today, I spent a bit of time digging my car out from under the snow. Okay, so it wasn't buried, but I spent a good twenty minutes or so brushing the snow off the windows, hood, trunk and roof. I bought myself a handy snow brush/ice scraper last year, and it's a good thing.
I shipped off one of my Compact Flash cards to Lexar Media for repair a few weeks ago, and I still haven't had it sent back. There was a message from Lexar on my answering machine when I got back from my trip to Florida, and I just called them today. They said they "attempted" to ship it back, but I never got it. I was afraid this would happen. In any case, they owe me a 4MB Card. Even before I shipped it out, I asked them on the phone if there was just some sort of CF reset utility I could run on the card, because I didn't want to send it anywhere. Of course, they said "No" as expected, and said the card would have to be shipped into the repair center. Now it's lost. What a surprise.
