Well, it has finally happened. As much as I absolutely despise cellular telephones, I have been forced to adopt one. My telephone bill averages around $115 a month due to my bellsouth service package, Privacy Director, and AT&T Long distance - with the long distance causing the bulk of the bill. I've eliminated all the extra phone services for my home and have reduced it to basic dialtone service, and I intend to cut out all long distance calling from my land line. With the cellphone, I get 200 anytime minutes and 2800 night/weekend minutes for $29.99 a month. With my basic Bellsouth service and the cellphone, my phone bill will come to about half of what I'm paying for standard services. So yes, I will continue to dislike cellphones very much, but for now, it's the cheaper alternative. I don't care if you call me a hypocrite; I'm a hypocrite that's saving over $60 a month.

I got a call from Lexar Media this morning. Apparently, my flash card was returned to their facility due to the idiocy of FedEx. According to Lexar, FedEx attempted to deliver my card three times, only to return it to Lexar with a complaint of "Incorrect address". The dude at Lexar verified my address, and everything is correct. I guess FedEx is just broken.

In any case, Lexar upgraded my 4MB card to an 8MB card for the inconvenience. That's really great, but now I just have to hope FedEx finds a way to get it to me.
