I checked my e-mail this afternoon to find that a representative from Blizzard replied to my message regarding the shutdown of bnetd. I do sincerely thank this person for being professional in the reply, but that doesn't justify what Blizzard has done.
I have sent this person my reply. You can read the entire exchange here. (I've blanked out the respondant's e-mail address as a courtesy. I don't want them getting harassed or spammed.) Any future coorespondence regarding this issue will be appended to that same file.
