Having my own website is nice, because I have a worldwide forum on which I am able to voice my opinions. Thus, if I am experiencing utter disgust and contempt toward someone, I'm free to expound upon that. In this case, it happens to be toward a worthless piece of scum named Karyn.
Karyn, you see, is a leech of society. She recently set up a website (I will NOT link to it because I refuse to give her any more attention) explaining that, due to her love of Gucci dresses and designer perfumes and similar luxurious appointments (seriously!), she has put herself about $20,000 in debt. Now, while this is obviously quite stupid in and of itself, that is not what makes this person so despicable. You see, rather than understand the concept of either fiscal or personal responsibility, Karyn has decided that it's not her job to pay off her debt - it's everyone else's. Therefore, her website's entire purpose is to beg for money, making it quite clear that you will get absolutely nothing in return, save that she believes in 'karma' and that you will get good karma by giving her money. What a crock of shit.
Now, what's worse? The fact that this irresponsible, self-centered free-loader set up this website, or that it's actually working? As of yesterday, her $20k debt has been knocked down to under $2000 thanks to thousands of complete morons who have nothing better to do with their money.
I first heard about her site back in August. I assumed it was a joke at first, but after reading through it, I was disgusted to find that she was completely serious. I read through some of the e-mails sent to her, and one of them remarked that she must have some serious "balls" to attempt something like this. Her response:
"No balls here! I am female indeed! You see Robert, this is the 21st century. Women are strong these days, powerful. We don't do things in moderation, or take a back seat anymore afraid we'll offend some man. We are leaders."
I suppose that's why she's asking the world to pay for her extravagant spending. Not only is she taking a back seat, she's not paying the fare.
She says on her site: "Together, we can banish credit card debt from my life!" and "I've done my part, now I need you to do yours." I say piss off. My part has nothing to do with paying for your mistakes. And to the people who actually sent her money, I say: what the hell is wrong with you? Can you not find some worthy charity instead of dumping money to this irresponsible, spoiled twenty-something?
Some days, I feel like moving to a different planet. Karyn (and people like her) need to be locked up somewhere, if not for any reason other than getting her out of the general populace. She is a drain on society, plain and simple.
