Hooray for severe weather! At this very moment, the my county (and the surrounding 21 counties) are getting smacked around by tornadoes, high winds, and lots of rain. Tornado warnings and watches are in effect all around here, and there's lots of wind, rain, and lightning outside.
I'm at work, of course, and all that stands between me and a warehouse full of hundreds of small footprint thin-client computers is a plate-glass window. So in the event a tornado starts tearing through the warehouse causing those machines to fly around like glitter, my ass is heading deeper into the office.
As if the prospect of being tossed around like a rag doll in the bowels of a tornado isn't exciting enough, I have even more thrilling news! This news, however, is much happier than imminent death. As of Saturday, I have re-established contact with a friend of mine from elementary school! Melissa and I have not spoken to, or seen one another in about 12 years or so, so we were both extremely excited to be talking on the phone after all of this time. It'll be awesome when we can finally get together in person.
The laws of physics suck with their "distance between point A and point B" crap. I want to be in New York, like, immediately.
