So I've signed back up with SpeakEasy, as DSL options in the area are quite limited, and I'll be damned before I sign back up with AT&T broadband. I figure if the speeds aren't adequate, I can upgrade. Plus, the free Playstation 2 doesn't hurt things, either.
Everything I've read about SpeakEasy says that they're an excellent ISP, so I'm looking forward to a smooth transition. Interestingly enough, SpeakEasy said they're going to do a "hot swap" on my connection, where they kill DirecTV DSL and switch it immediately over to their network. They said my downtime should be no more than an hour. Spiffy.
So if the website is unreachable for a time during the next several weeks, it's probably because of the transition. It'll be down for the hour it takes for the service to switch over, plus another day and a half or so for the DNS servers to properly re-adjust to my new IPs.

Update: Actually, I can probably minimize the downtime to around the hour it will take for the transition. Since I already know what my SpeakEasy IP address will be, I can update DNS before the transition takes place.
