A while back, I asked my friend David McNett (Nugget) if he'd be interested in having me redesign the website for distributed.net, creating a newer look for the site while retaining the classic site's feel, as well as keeping web standards in mind. He told me that it sounded like a good idea, and to go for it.
Over the course of about a week, I went to work creating the site's new look, migrating the existing content into the new layout, and validating the HTML. The past week I've been working on the HTML for the various internationalized pages, and working with Jeff Lawson (Bovine) to integrate the new design and layout into the scripts that generate the site, as well as fixing any HTML that may have been broken in the process.
I'm happy to announce the new site is now live. I created it using a combination of valid XHTML and CSS, and kept a similar layout to that of the classic site. Please feel free to check it out.
