In six days, I will be making my triumphant return to New York. I already made a return a few years ago, but that was by no means triumphant. I was there on a business trip, and all I got to do was bounce back and forth between my hotel room and the office. I don't even consider that going back. This upcoming trip, however, will last for 10 days and is not at all for business.
I will arrive in Newark at around 19:00 on Saturday, and bounce around all over the place, between Manhattan, Mount Vernon, The Bronx, and down through Jersey including Budd Lake, Red Bank, and Beachwood. And don't worry about visuals; I'm bringing my brand new digital camera to document everything. I will have plenty of compact flash cards with me, as well as my iBook. I expect this trip to be the largest album in my gallery.
Speaking of my gallery and new camera, that reminds me. I added a new feature to the photo gallery last week to compensate for the fact that my new camera takes extremely large (2048x1536) photos. For any images that have larger sizes available, the gallery will display it as 640x480 with a link under it to "view fullsize." Don't worry, the image isn't being scaled in HTML, so you don't have to download the huge image to view it at 640x480; they're each separate files.

Update: I went on a little downtown excursion this evening with my friend Chris and took a bunch of pictures. Feel free to check out the album created from our exploration.
The photos of the building under construction are from 171 17th street, which we may or may not have entered and explored.
