In an effort to find things to photograph today, my friend Chris and I were driving down the interstate when I suggested that we check out the Westin downtown. At the top of the hotel is a rotating bar/restaurant, so I figured we'd have a pretty good view for photographs. Chris agreed, so we headed over.
After driving in sort-of circles for a little while looking for parking, we found a convenient garage right next door to the Westin. We went inside, Chris used the facilities, and then we headed up the external glass elevators 723 feet straight up. After walking around the observation deck looking out at the city through the rain, we went upstairs to the rotating bar and consumed fresh vegetables and cold beverages while we rotated around the 188 foot diameter of the Westin at about 0.19 miles per hour.
It was a fun time. Pictures are hot and served.

Update: There's a new splash image today, which was designed by my good friend Dave. I needed a new image, so I asked him if he'd be interested in designing me one. That's the result, and it is very cool.
