I've been working on Storm, my dual processor machine, trying to get it to work. After multiple issues cropping up (not booting at all, not all memory detected, faulty hardware, etc.) I think I've managed to get it going. After unsuccessfully battling it last night and most of this morning, I said "screw it" and yanked the BIOS battery for the day. When I replaced the battery, the computer finally started responding normally. (Except for some flaky RAM detection, but I rearranged the chips and that seemed to work.) I slapped a fresh install of Slackware 9.1 on the hard drive I removed from Waterhouse (dead machine) and tossed in a network card. All I need to do is replace one of the CPU fans, and it should be ready to rejoin the network.
I saw Shrek 2 today, and holy shit! It is actually better than the first one! Now I hold the first one in pretty high regard, so I was amazed to see the sequel surpass it beautifully. It was awesome. There were plenty of references to other movies, and I got a lot of subtle jokes that I think most of the other people in the theater missed. It is excellent. Go see it.
