I went on my first caving expedition this weekend, and it was loads of fun. We visited Lost Creek Cave in White County, Tennessee. It was incredible, and a whole lot of fun. I'd stripped down my old Ghostbuster uniform to the flightsuit and wore that (which is a lot looser than it used to be), along with my boots and kneepads.

The cave was awesome. We did everything from walking around on rocky terrain to climbing up and down rocky walls, to squeezing through tight passages, with nothing to light our way but our headlamps. At one point we turned off our lamps and could see absolutely nothing. It was absolute darkness, with no ability to even see your hand in front of your face. I can't remember ever being in an open environment like that.

I'm already looking forward to the next trip. Pictures are here though there aren't many since, due to the steam inside the cave, many didn't come out too great.
