This week has started off rather shitty. After doing research and making efforts
to get out of an apartment and do the home purchase thing, I've discovered that
buying a home sucks and is a huge pain in the ass. 4 days of talking to loan
people, and I'm already burnt out. I want nothing to do with the mortgage
process. Ever.
Julia invited me to visit and hang out with the group at Monkey House this week,
but due to work I can't make it. Work is a whole different story altogether.
Suffice to say this has not been a good week. (And it's only Tuesday!)
In better news, Optimus is running great. I've been pleasantly surprised with
its performance and hope to get many years of use from this box. Additionally,
you should see a pretty significant speed boost on the Accipiter.org network.
After a long time of just not caring, I finally got mod_gzip working properly.

Update: Suddenly annoyed with the lack of any categorization on the main
index of my photo browser, I rewrote the indexing scheme. Additionally, I can
immediately revert back to the old indexing scheme by changing a value in the
browser's configuration file. Hello new
version!

If it makes you feel any better, NOBODY CAME to our little get together. Heck, adoxograph and sarcasmo didn't even make it into town until 11PM.
So you didn't miss anything except me and Scott burning stuff!
But remind us to take you to the taco cart near our house the next time you visit.

Wow, that blows. I'd have liked to burn stuff too.
Taco cart?

Yah, taco cart.
BEST DAMN TACOS IN THE STATE.
Effortlessly delicious barbacoa within five minutes of your order, same goes for carne asada.
Hueraches next time. If I spelled it wrong, I don't really care, so long as it is tasty.
Also, four (small) tacos for five bucks. Not a bad price, considering the amazing quality.

I didn't know what those dishes were, so I looked them up.
"Not to be confused with barbecue, barbacoa is a dish traditional to South Texas made from meat byproducts from a cow's head and other parts. Traditionally, it was prepared by digging a hole in the ground, placing the head in the hole and slow-cooking it with hot coals."
I might have to pass on that one, but the Carne Asada sounds good. As for the other one, Google says it's "Huaraches" which spew mostly results about footwear. The one result related to food (also the first result) sounds tasty though.
Do they do soft tacos? Because that would be excellent. I was never a fan of hard tacos.

Actually, barbacoa is a process, not a meat.
In this case, it is marinated and slow-roasted pork.
Barbacoa is *not* from South Texas, it is much older and far more Mexican than that.

Slow-roasted marinated pork sounds good. Reconsidered!
This conversation made me get some Taco Bell which is likely to not be nearly as good as your taco cart. Two soft tacos for a buck fifty rules though.

I like how you pretend there's a diffrence between Mexico and South Texas.
