I watched The Sound of Music again tonight. It's been quite some time since I've seen it, and I was in the mood for a lengthy, happy movie this evening. It's pretty amazing how nearly all of the songs, long buried in the back of your brain for the longest time, can come back to you so quickly as soon as you hear them.

This film regularly presents a problem for me, however, in that every time I watch it, I end up renewing my devastating crush on Liesl. I know it's ridiculous, but it's like clockwork. I can't do anything about it, nor do I want to. So there.

I'd also like to mention that Rolfe is a dirty Nazi bastard.

And a sexist pig. But no matter who sang "Sixteen Going on Seventeen" I would think that.

Maybe not so much sexist as ageist, since he thinks a one year age difference somehow constitutes "older and wiser."
