I just read some very happy news this morning in the Slackware changelog entry announced late last night. It seems Patrick Volkerding became a happy first-time father a few weeks ago! Briah Cecilia was born on November 22, and I want to extend my congratulations to Patrick and his wife Andrea. All the best to you and your family.
I suspect in addition to her new e-mail address, little Briah Cecilia is already helping daddy with slackware-current.
In other news, my living room rearrangement was a success. I now have a second bookshelf for my DVDs, and the furniture has been laid out in a much more usable configuration.
The placement of the chair had always been awkward, but its new location makes perfect sense. I'm quite pleased; it's like I have a whole new living room.
