I went on a trip to Pensacola this week, and got to see my friend Steve, his wife Jennie, and Steve's sons Conner and Devon. I hadn't seen them in a few years, so it was a good trip. It was about a 5 hour trip going down, and I made the trip back to Atlanta in less than that. Pictures are here, including some efforts at being artsy.
Exactly one month from today is my Japan trip, and I have yet to get a rail pass. I've decided on a JR East 5 day pass since it offers the most reasonable coverage of the areas I plan to visit for the best price based on my needs for the trip. Now I just have to buy the thing.
