Holy crap. Next Saturday I will be on a plane to Tokyo. That's crazy! Most of my
pre-trip stuff has been taken care of:
Passport: Obtained
Air Ticket: Purchased & Confirmed
Hotel: Purchased & Reserved
Rail Pass: Purchased
EmPower iBook Adapter: Purchased
In addition to that stuff which is specifically trip-related, there were also
some other things I had to take care of before my trip (like my car's
registration renewal) which are now done as well. Everything should be out of
the way so I can enjoy my trip. All that's left to do is to find a place to stow
my car while I'm gone, obtain a suitcase either by purchasing or borrowing, and
find a ride to/from the airport.

Why can't you leave your car at your apartment? And ride the bus to the airport? (Other than it'll take a really long time to get there.)

Because he's going to leave his car at his apartment and take a taxi to the airport.
Also, Chris, someone smeared some crap on the bottom of your post, just above the timestamp.

I can't leave my car at my apartment because I want it to be in a place where someone can keep an eye on it. I can't take the bus to the airport because Cobb County refuses to pay for Marta, so the Marta system isn't available here. I can't take a taxi to the airport because the distance makes it really expensive.
On the plus side, I've obtained a suitcase and have a backup ride to the airport.
