Is that the Tears for Fears version playing in your head or the Gary Junes version?
After watching Donnie Darko (one of my favorite movies) I fell in love with the Gary Jules version. I read an interview somewhere with Tears for Fears where they said that they play his version of their song now too.

Definitely the Gary Jules version. I think it's far superior to the original, though I do like both.
