A long long time ago, I once had a car. It was a nice car, and even though it was an older car it had exceptionally low mileage when I bought it and it was in excellent shape. That car was my first car, which was a 1985 Audi 4000S. Unfortunately that car's life was abruptly ended by a Cadillac running a red light, and I've missed it ever since.

I've had several cars since... a Ford Tempo, a Nissan Stanza, and of course the Volkswagen Jetta. Each time I've had to replace the last car, I've always had the itch to get another Audi. I will admit that I was torn after losing the Jetta since it was such a great car that I would have easily bought another VW, but I decided it was time to get back on board the Audi train.

Say hello to my new Audi A4 1.8 Turbo.

I'm quite pleased with it so far, but I need to go ahead and get the timing belt changed as soon as possible. They're notorious for breaking prematurely on this motor, so I'd rather spend the money and get it replaced ahead of time instead of waiting for it to break and spending eight times as much to fix it.

In other news, July is going to be a hell of a travel month for me. I'm leaving for Florida tomorrow, the following Sunday I'll be in Chicago, then I'll be in Florida again, and I'll be in Myrtle Beach sometime after that. So updates may be even more sporadic than usual.
