Imagine a game of lacrosse, except instead of a grassy field you have an indoor court. Instead of goals, you have mounted backboards with a hole in the front. And instead of running around, you drive around in bumper cars.
This, friends, is a game called Whirly Ball and it's fun as hell.
I played for the first time last night at a company-sponsored outing. Not only is the game genius in its design (be sure to check out Whirly Ball Atlanta's detailed description), it is accentuated by the convenient placement of a bar just outside the court. Also nearby was a Ms. Pac Man machine which I used several times as well.
Unfortunately I never made any goals, but I did assist in several and I played mad offense. I need more practice in aiming and scooping.
