It was a long time coming.

Accipiter.org is now powered by PHP5 under Apache 2. I had held off for quite a while on upgrading since Apache 1.3 was rock solid and I can configure it in my sleep, and PHP4 is something of which I have a very firm grasp. However after a few hours of work (mostly taken up by the fact that I completely wiped the Accipiter.org webserver and installed a fresh copy of the latest Slackware; I was several releases behind), I managed to convert everything to work on the new systems with very little effort. I ran into a few snags here and there since I completely revamped the backend directory structure, but nothing prohibitively difficult to fix. I also reprogrammed a few sections of the main index, so things should load even faster.

In other news, I am no longer employed at SecureWorks. Things are changing there very quickly, and it was time for me to move on. I've made lots of lasting friendships while there and I value them greatly, so it was hard to leave. But alas, times change and I need to change with them, even if it means bailing on something I was part of for so long.

Either way, it's nice to have a break.
