Well, I had a pretty uneventful Independence Day - I walked around my apartment a little, did a bit of reading, watched some TV, went into work for a few hours, and sat on my porch taking pictures of the raging thunderstorm that had rolled into the area.
If you tried to access Accipiter.org last night, you would not have connected. That's because I shut down and disconnected my entire network. I hear lightning and computers don't mix well, so I'm going to avoid even tempting that combination.
I bought a DVD player this week! I used to watch my DVD movies using my computer's DVD drive, but I got the urge to watch a movie while stretched out on my couch - not propped up in my office chair. It's a Samsung, and it works really well.
I've also been working on setting up a home automation system using X10 equipment. I'm going to dedicate a computer to this system, design an interface, and hook up the stuff. With any luck, I'll have a bit of an intrusion detection system there too.
I saw Scary Movie 2 as well. The Entertainment Inventory contains my review.
