Accipiter.org has a new header image today, and with the new image comes some news. You may have read yesterday about my thoughts regarding a redesign of the front page. Well, after a lot of work this weekend with the help from both my good friend Dave, and the w3c validator service, I have created the new look for Accipiter.org. The new design is not yet public, as it is currently undergoing some extensive testing in browser compatibility, XHTML validity, and proper CGI functionality.

The new design was created with web standards in mind. As you can tell by the logos at the bottom of the page, I've tried to maintain a standards-compliant site. Since I am a stickler for both browser compatibility and standards, I have engineered the new site to work for both. The new design is going to adhere strictly to web standards, but will ignore CSS for older browsers such as Netscape 4 or Internet Explorer 3. Therefore, while it will look MUCH better in a browser that supports web standards, it will still be accessible to any browser and/or Internet device.

Consequently, the header image you see above will be the last Accipiter.org 2.0 header image. Once the site adopts the new design, the version will be re-numbered. Of course, a new header image will make its debut right along with the new design.
