The weather outside is finally cooling off. For the longest time, it has been absurdly warm outside for this time of year. It cooled off briefly early last month, but stayed fairly warm until just a few days ago. I'm happy. I much prefer cold weather over hot weather.

Absolutely no news on the employment front as of late, except for the fact that I'm still looking. For all the companies desperately looking for people to hire, they're not particulary anxious to make contact with those people who are actually applying for the open positions. I've written about this before, but this form of unprofessionalism is still rampant.

I've been hearing a lot of jets lately. Dobbins Air Force Base (or "Air Reserve Base" as they now call it) is just north of here, and they make that no secret. Every day I hear jets flying overhead, presumably doing touch-and-go exercises. Going outside and looking up, one would see some F/A-18 Hornets, a C130, or even a DC-9 rounding the neighborhood. Constantly. And Loudly.

Requesting permission for flyby.

Ah, nope. Sorry, the pattern is full.
