I've made a change to the comment posting policy here on Accipiter.org. Previously, an Accipiter.org account was required to be able to post comments on front page posts, and HTML was stripped from all comments. As of yesterday, this exclusivity has been reduced.
Unregistered guests are now able to post comments on front page posts. Changes have also been made to allow registered users to use a limited set of HTML formatting in their posts, though HTML is still entirely stripped from guest posts. Those of you who already have an Accipiter.org account can and should continue to use it, and I still encourage regular visitors to register. An Accipiter.org account is still required to post comments on images in the photo gallery, and I don't see this changing in the near future. An account is also required to have the site remember your posting identity, and to use the few but growing formatting options.
If you don't want to register because you're worried about providing your e-mail address, don't be. I'm being completely honest when I say it's not even used for anything right now. It is requested for two reasons: 1) in case I ever get around to having some kind of account management system, including the option to be notified of updates, and 2) in case I have to e-mail you about something. I think I've used one user's e-mail address one time to ask them a question, so suffice to say it's not a critical piece of information at this point. Feel free to omit your e-mail address during registration if you wish.
In any case, the speakerbox is open, folks. Enjoy.

Update: One thing I forgot to mention is that my Photo Browser has undergone a significant rewrite. I know I mentioned back in July that I added a categorization feature, but that was version 4. That version was online for a little less than a week before I decided to do a major rewrite of the entire system. Functionally v5 is the same as v4, but it is far more efficient and clean. It's slightly faster, too.
Oh, and I fixed a bug in the archive system that was activating the wrong entries from the dropdown selections.
