I'm sitting at my computer sipping a big cup of coffee (yes I drink coffee now), trying to read the speeding ticket I received last week. It's the first I've gotten in the past ten years, so I'm kind of annoyed. I don't normally speed to such excessive degrees (84 in a 65) which is why I've been able to go a decade without getting pulled over for speeding, but I was trying to get back home before the dry cleaners closed so I could drop off my clothes in time for work. Stupid reason? Yeah. Unfortunately, getting pulled over pretty much killed that plan anyway. Regardless, this dude's handwriting is impossible to read.

On a completely different subject, I've rediscovered that the established paradigm of certain types of women absolutely not dating certain types of men continues to stand true. I'd talked to what seemed to be an incredibly cool friend of a friend last week. We seemed to be making good conversation, so I asked her if she wanted to go out for some food the following week, got a yes, and left happy and optimistic with a number in my pocket. This confused me because, not only was she friendly, intelligent and stunning, she'd agreed to a date with me. This in and of itself is a complete contradiction, which is why I was perplexed. Turns out my confusion was entirely warranted; she ended up coming to her senses and subsequently bailed on me completely. How pretentious of me to assume that the laws of the universe were actually breaking down.

In other news, I am now one of twenty GSIP Certified Professionals in the entire world.

You know that paradigm goes the other way too. I can't tell you how many times I really liked a guy and got clear signals they really liked me in return only to have them suddenly do an about face.

Also, hey there!! And Congrats on the GSIP certification!

According to http://www.gisci.org/ there are over 1000 certified GIS professionals (GISPs). Perhaps only 20 or so through your particular registrar?
